MARK OWENS

My goal is to become a University professor in Political Science after earning my Ph.D at the University of Georgia.  This will be the chance to combine my research and experiences in Washington D.C. and Tallahassee, FL to teach the theories and application of politics.

 

Outside of the classroom I have been involved in community service projects with the National Wildlife Federation, Pi Lambda Phi Fraternity, and Youth Factor.  Each of those organizations has afforded me with opportunities to travel and interact with college students and young adults that are interested in leaving their mark and making their community a better place.  They have also helped broaden my view of the world by giving me friendships and mentors that offer other perspectives that I may have found in my hometown and career path.
